Cooking up small batches by hand in the heart of Gloucestershire

Tubby Toms was launched by chef Tom Hughes back in 2014 and has quickly become a local favourite for delivering big flavour! Tom’s love of BBQ sauce was cemented during his University career, using lots of the sauce to improve bland food. For Tom, the natural next step was to create his own.

Helped by his wife, brother and friends; the team hand-make their jars of sauce in Gloucestershire using fresh chillies and vegetables. The eye catching range has quickly grown in popularity thanks to their fun branding and tongue-in-cheek humour.

Tom explains, “With the help of my friends, we cook up small batches by hand in the heart of Gloucestershire with tonnes of soul.”

Our favourites include his classic Smokey Schweet BBQ – a natural barbecue sauce, cooked slowly with molasses and honey. It’s packed with flavour.

Next on the pantry essentials list is Nuff Love – an amazing pineapple hot sauce, made using yellow scotch bonnet and lots of juicy pineapple.

The Squealer is not for the faint hearted, as the name suggests! It’s a scotch bonnet sauce, made with fresh, raw blended chillies.

Finally the Hot and Smokey uses a mixture of fresh and dried spices, giving a really rich and deep flavour.
