Jonty Hampson launched Hampson Woods five years ago, creating handmade wooden products out of London’s fallen plane trees. Jonty grew up in the Lake District where his family still own an ancient oak woodland that his father purchased in 1972, but Hamspson Woods was born in a dusty workshop in Hackney, East London. Jonty takes great care in sourcing his wood, ensuring every product has a story.
William Firth Woodcraft Co. Story
For William Firth working with wood is in the blood! Growing up William watched both his grandfather and father spend hours on their beloved hobby, skilfully turning wooden bowls on their lathe. William inherited not only their hobby but their skill and passion for handcrafted products. William never dreamt he’d be able to turn his hobby into a business but in November 2016 he managed just that. Based in his workshop in Scorton, Lancashire, William works with his carefully selected timber to create practical and beautiful kitchenware.
