Spring updates for the home

Parlane International
Established over 40 years ago, Parlane are a UK based homeware company working closely with each producer they partner with, choosing them for their use of traditional techniques and ethical labour practices. They love natural materials, just like we do, and they select craftspeople that have the knowledge to manipulate their chosen material with skill. We love these unique egg cups and ‘crushed paper’ cups, available in our Farmshop now.

MOWGS
MOWGS baskets are handcrafted in Myanmar (Burma) from recycled plastic strapping using generations-old techniques. Due to the ever changing supply of materials, no two baskets are ever the same. Each style is unique in its design and the collection reflects the heritage and creative way of life of the weavers. As it gives new life to otherwise useless materials, they make minimal impact on the environment.

Ian Snow
As a teenager Ian Snow travelled widely in India. He left Liverpool behind in 1969 at the age of 19 to hitch-hike on his own living on just £70. What started as a month long trip turned into five months! On his return to England, he brought lots of beautiful Indian products which he sold at various small markets. Ian returned again and again to his beloved India, each time laden with beautiful handcrafted goods leading his to eventually set up his own shop. Ian still spends 2 months there every year, working closely with small artisans producing beautiful fair trade items.

Daniels Bros
The Daniels Bros create handmade toys and unique items from reclaimed timber that they salvage from around their native Sheffield. This Easter they’ve made us our very own Easter Hipster Chicken! We think he’s the ideal addition to any Easter table!
